Smart LAP is a platform for work automation to accelerate performance of the teams. It does this in the following manner.

  • It uses WhatsApp alerts and actions so that users can directly take actions in WhatsApp with one click without the need to login or navigate.
  • It focusses on Quality measurement, by using Forms and Attachments in tasks, with Workflow Approvals so managers can approve or reopen tasks if they are not done correctly.
  • Managers can also give ratings to individual tasks, that can be used to measure employee performance
  • By providing access to Customers, Employees and Management, it help teams collaborate with each other
  • It also has integrated features, so that the data in one feature triggers actions in others leading to better coordination between teams



Why is Smart LAP required?

Smart LAP is meant for service organizations whose people work on projects and tasks for customers. They need to improve both the speed of their work (Productivity) as well as their quality (Performance).

But the current work tools are mainly focussed on Productivity and are inadequate for today’s work. They are built to be used on the laptop, or on their own apps but do not use WhatsApp. With the rise of AI, speed of work has increased, but without the right context, this does not improve the quality of the work. As a result, we need to switch to measuring Performance instead of Productivity. Since tools are optimized for measuring productivity, they are not able to measure or manage the switch to measuring Performance. How does Smart LAP use WhatsApp?

Smart LAP uses WhatsApp as an interface which can be used by users anywhere and anytime. Most people already use WhatsApp extensively to communicate and collaborate. , So Smart LAP uses the familiarity to provide users with a tool they are already comfortable with. As a result, users find it very convenient as they do not need to download another app, do not need to login to that app and do not need to navigate inside it to do their work.

Smart LAP sends WhatsApp messages to users as alerts, reminders and prompts to complete actions. Included in the message is a WhatsApp Action button, which opens a popup within WhatsApp’s in app browser. This popup is context specific so only the information that the user need to view is shown, along with any actions that the user can complete. The user does not need to login either. So with one click the user can do their work in WhatsApp itself. This method also a secure, as only the intended user can view the action button in WhatsApp. If the message is forwarded the button is not shown.
